Jerry Tipton/HERALD-LEADER At 6-foot-8, Rekalin Sims considers himself a small forward who can play power forward. He has played center for Kentucky in many of the important minutes. Is there any question Kentucky’s three 7-footers have yet to establish an imposing presence around the basket? More..click hereI was discussing this at work that Sims would be starting at Center unless we were playing a team with a big center. This is to a Louisville fan that had remarked how bad our centers looked against Iowa. I couldn't argue the point because he was right. I do look for the three seven footers to improve or it's pine time city and that's the wrong kind of PT baby!

I think its kind of pathetic that we have three 7 footers on the team and not one of them is worth playing, is there any other team that have 3 seven footers?

I agree they have looked bad but I wont give up on any of them just yet!
First of all for what I expected and for all the talk of redshirting I think Carter has been a pleasant surprise!
Second, Woo I think is pressing much too much and will come around when he finally convinces himself to relax! He played well last year against Andrew Bogut, he just needs to relax and play hard!
Thirdly, Shagari has shown flashes of brillance at times last year in particular against Indiana and at times in the tourney!
I am disapointed by Woo and Shagari's play but will not throw in the towel on them yet! I think Carter has a bright, bright future!

Guy's you may disagree but i have already gave up on Woo, he is a junior and hasn't showed me anything yet. He is 7 foot tall and cant do anything.

When Morris gets back they wont have any playing time, maybe 4 or 5 minutes a game.

Shain, you are far from in the minority and you may be right! But I suppose I am looking at the bright side and hoping it gets better. If you can think back to Jamal Magloire he was never, ever anywhere near a polished player until his senior year and we are still early in their junior years! I do see quite a bit of upside with Carter. Now he isnt going to be great this year but may be someone who can buy a few minutes a game against a good team by the end of the year!

That's a big 10-4 about Mags, he barely could hit the backboard his Jr year.

Yes and even flirted with going to the NBA at the end of his junior year. Even his senior year he was far from a polished player, even to the point of looking clumsy at times. Now he is an NBA all star, so a lot of things can happen. I am disapointed they havent contributed more but hey lets hope it changes.

I'm rooting for them but look for Carter to speed past them soon.

Bubba or Jeff if you was 22 and 7 foot tall do you think you could do better than Woo or Shag?

Nahh, I couldnt play worth a darn at 6 foot 2 let alone 7 foot tall!
But I did learn a long time ago its a lot easier to say this one should be doing this and this one should be doing that when you are not in their shoes. I cant criticize anyone who thinks they arent doing what they should be doing right now. I just prefer to be optimistic about the situation.
