Jerry Tipton Herald Leader Outcome not revealed, but NCAA says UK can appeal A NCAA appeals committee made a judgment yesterday on an important question surrounding the restoration of Kentucky big man Randolph Morris's eligibility: What was the nature of his relationship with the sports agency SFX when he entered this year's NBA draft? Neither Kentucky nor NCAA officials would reveal the NCAA Division I Legislative Review and Interpretations Committee decision, which hits at the heart of Morris's future eligibility. NCAA rules prohibit a player from entering a written or oral agreement with an agent. More..click hereMore on MorrisI heard on ESPN that the NCAA had ruled Morris ineligible but that UK could submit an appeal.

UK can appeal and maybe get the NCAA to suspend him for a certain number of games. It depends on how bad the situation.

Shag just needs to get his grades in order. He may go pro after this year, who knows?

It is basically my understanding that the MAIN reason for the hiring of the lawyer was because they knew this was going to happen and that they couldnt even ask for his reinstatement until this verdict came back!

Yes, I think you are right in that the attorney was hired because UK saw the handwriting on the wall and knew they were going to need him to set up and prepare their appeal. As for Shag going pro - I think that if any scout entertained the thought before, they have moved on to more promising prospects.
