Victoria Sun Post staff reporter LEXINGTON, Ky. - A team full of superstars is often no team at all. Every great one needs a Kevin McHale, Rodney Rogers or Eddie Johnson, all recipients of the NBA's sixth man of the year award. Through two games, the No. 9 University of Kentucky has several players capable of making a positive impact. The Wildcats' reserves scored 30 points in a 71-54 win against South Dakota State and 34 points in a 67-49 victory against Lipscomb. They accounted for 19 of the team's 45 rebounds against SDSU and 16 of 30 against Lipscomb. More..click hereMy man Bradley was lookeen pretty good tha other night, let's hope this gives his confidence a boost and doean't let the air our of Patrick's and Joe's tires. PS: This Victoria lady does write some good stuff doesn't she?

I dont worry about Patrick because he is a senior and been through this before i am sure. I kind of worry about Joe's mindset I suppose. Maybe I shouldnt but I bet its in the back of everyones minds when things happen like this

The only reason I said that was given Joe's past situation.

I think it's too early in the season for anybody to get ansy over minutes, Joe has started 3 out of 4 games and played the following minutes:
22 min. Northern State 20 min. Georgetown 28 min. SDSU 14 min. Lipscomb 84 min. Total 21 mpg
Though your point has merit, I think even Joe will chill for a while longer even if his minutes continue to suffer.

I was surprised that Woo started the second game, that proves that Tubby won't forsake anyone for having a bad game. Joe is going to be very valuable down the road and I'm sure the Tubster is aware of that and doesn't want to damage anyone's perspective of how they're thought of. Especially this early in the season. It did however seem to tic off some of the players not getting to start in the opener. Feelings are sometimes fragile for the college athlete.

I think it surprised everybody...including Woo! Honestly, I think Tubby is well aware of how much he's going to need Woo this season and is trying to get him (force him) to develop an effective comfort zone while in the game. It isn't working - but that's the goal. (I don't think you can find another instance of a player continuing to start despite such stunningly POOR performances in all of Wildcat history!) I fully expect to see him get lots of floor time against Iowa and their big center Hansen.

Time will tell about Woo starting and I hope it pays dividends.

Perhaps Woo will perform better away from Rupp and against more of a true center. I think he does put too much pressure on himself at home. I think everyone remembers him last year for how he helped battle Andrew Bogut of Utah in the tourney!
