UK Athletics MALIBU, Calif. - Kentucky used a tenacious rebounding effort and rallied from a 10-point first half deficit Saturday to defeat Hofstra 67-54 in the championship game of the Pepperdine Thanksgiving Tournament. It marked the Wildcats' first tournament championship since the 2001-02 season. Sophomore center Sarah Elliott (McKee, Ky.) was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player after totaling 30 points over the two-day tournament, coming off of an off-season knee surgery. Glad to see Pfeiffer do well this game as she struggled in the other game. GO CATS!

Great effort and great start for the Cats!! Elliott is going to be a player!! Lets hope they build up a lot of intensity and momentum in the pre conference schedule! I do think they will be improved inside the conference, but improved could still mean a .500 record inside the toughest womens conference in the country! But hey .500 inside the SEC gets you into the NCAA tourney!!
