Prep school looked like the best option for Tyrone Nash last week. That was before he got a call and a full-scholarship offer from Kentucky basketball coach Tubby Smith to join the Cats for the 2006-07 season. More..click hereWe may know soon whether Nash will be a Wildcat. From what I've been hearing, his folks are really sold on Tubby and UK and want him to sign. Keep those fingers crossed. A 3.9 GPA too.

If Nash were coming to Kentucky I would think he would make his mind up by the end of the day, today – Monday. Three days in Lexington, an offer, his only offer, and an entire weekend at home to think about it. Any longer, and it would appear he has another agenda we don’t know about. If we don’t hear from him today, I think the odds drop sharply that he will ever be a WildCat.

Some are fretting that he's making a choice between UK and prep school, but it would seem to me that he may be thinking that if UK is interested now, maybe more will be after a year of prep school. He also had plans to go with a friend as well. About UK's offer, maybe he hasn't heard the adage,"A bird in the hand". Time will tell.

It will be very interesting to see how this plays out. I do agree if he doesnt commit today, it may be a sign he has other things on his mind.
