New University of Kentucky men's basketball coach Billy Gillispie traveled to Maysville on Friday and spent time at Mason County High School. Gillispie went to watch Darius Miller, one of the country's top high school juniors. "Coach made it in today and watched Darius in open gym," Mason County coach Chris O'Hearn said. "We sat and talked and watched for about an hour and a half. He said Darius is one of their top priorities, especially for the '08 class." Pettigrew is starting to look pretty good from the Derby Classic from what I'm hearing. Pettigrew also was recently named Mr Basketball as well. I love those KY boys, especially when they're talented.

Good for him! I don't want to lose anymore talented players to other SEC schools. I SURE don't want to see any other coaches than ours honored in the state. I want to have those players that are proud to have Kentucky across their chests. They get it!

I agree we need to start keeping the states best at home! Now some arent good enough to put us at the level we want to be at. But from what I am hearing; Miller and Pettigrew can play on our level! Also I hope he plans on going up to Georgetown and checking out Bud Mackey! That kid can play!

I'm hearing from some Hoosiers at work that indeed Gillispie is going after Mackey. I don't think he'll get him but it doesn't hurt to try none the less. GO BILLY G!
