For as long as he can remember, Deaunte Mason has wanted to be a major college quarterback. Pulley should have learned a lot this year. Mason is tall and athletic, and that does sound like a great combination for a quarterback. So, it definitely would be a plus to have him as a back-up next year.

In the article it says that the colleges recruiting him wanted him only as an athlete which I don't completely understand. I know some teams, even pro teams draft players that haven't even played football (Bob Hayes/Cowboys) and made them stars but to ignore a top level QB doesn't show much respect. Hopefully as Trueblue said, "it will be good to have him as a backup" which will allow him to learn the system as well.
