It's hard for me to believe he's on the hot seat as much leeway they gave Davis at IU. Two years of not even making the tourney.

Yea the Charlotte Bobcats rumors are everywhere. In all honesty it wouldn't surprise me if he did leave for whatever reason. I had not heard ANY of the reports you are making though. I will just state that UK has been my team for 32 years now, since I was 5 years old. I will be with them regardless of who is their coach. IMO, it is kind of sad how quickly its forgotten. We were one rebound away last year from the final four in our double overtime loss. Thats the difference in a lot of peoples minds here. He only goes to elite 8s and not final 4s. Lets assume winstonwolf, that he leaves by his doing or being pushed out? Who is the front runner? Pitino? Do we try to get him back? He kind of has always left the door open by saying it was the worst mistake he ever made! Donovan? He has shown great recruting ability but has only made it out of first weekend of tourney once! Wright? Reported a few different places last week. Someone else? Just curious to if you knew anything. i am sure as someone posted on here the other day all AD's have a wish list justi n case of needing it! You can read all the websites and hear all the stuff from people who say that they are in the know with this source and that source. I have heard up to 13 different names and read the same amount too on the boards. The ones mentioned most Mark Few Jay Wright Billy Donovan -- a little less but still mentioned Rick Barnes Bruce Pearl John Pelphrey Travis Ford -- A little More less mentioned Mick Cronin Darren Horn Gregg Marshall Thad Matta (his depends on the Bucks status with the nCAA) the others named arent worth the electrons. |

hey bubba man i hope we get this kid . this also shows that tubby is not going anywhere . i would rather have tubby than some of those on the list that they want to replace him with

report says this kid goes hard to the boards and is very athletic needs to work on his shooting heard he was in the same mode as cory brewer of florida

If it was next year, I cant see these under ANY circumstances.

Other then Pearl those guys aren't ready! Pearl is well not doing a very good job of setting a classy example of a coach! However he will not be at Tennessee long!
I do think we need to ask ourselves how many of the names we are hearing are a step up. My answer is not too many!

I can only speak for myself as to say I'm not totally in agreement with everything Tubby does and would support most on the list to replace him. There are different types of fans and just because some of us are tagged with being a Tubbite doesn't make us blind. The part that bothers me is, most of the crowd that wants Tubby gone won't look at anything positive he has done. That has a way of making the Tubby fans not acknowledge the negatives that the bashers constantly throw out. 5 out of the nine years Tubby has coached at UK have been pretty darn good, 3 have been a tad below average but still respectable (20+ wins) this season has dam it written all over it. It can still be salvaged but it's going to take a few minor miracles to get there. All in all, I still would want Tubby as coach.

I agree I am not blind, I see things I dont agree with in Tubby. I see problems and things that need to be changed. But as Bubba put it some are so "YOU KNOW WHAT" bent on getting him out of here they will not acknowlege ANY success while here at UK! Therefore, I admit less and less public just to keep them shaking their heads!

hey uk thats me what is bad they make you the bashers become defiant from the get go cause they become so irate if you bring up a topic and in return call you a idiot or dumbass and everything is tubby and the plow there perception is so narrow this is why i like this site more constructive in nature the moderator is not a basher that guy that moderates dd is a joke defenders what a joke

As far as DD's founder, you hit the nail on the head there.  They do have or had a couple of good guys that Mod there. I haven't been there in a while to really scope out the place. I was a Mod there for a week myself but got canned trying to clean up the place.  BTW, I was Wildcatfaithful's first Mod back in 99 as well. |

Tubby may feel similar to Davis, in that it's time to move on and get some new blood. I just don't see it happening at the end of this year.
