Michael Smith The Courier-Journal LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The University of Kentucky's basketball team went big -- in the backcourt. UK coach Tubby Smith announced the signing of four players yesterday for the class of 2006, including a pair of versatile guards. With a pair of starting guards in Rajon Rondo and Patrick Sparks, neither of whom are taller than 6-feet-1, Smith set out to find guards with more height. He found them in 6-5 point guard Derrick Jasper and 6-4 wing Jodie Meeks. More..click hereTubby seems pretty happy with this class even though he let a couple of big named players slip. I'm very confident the ones he signed will make us very proud. Besides that, they're not the bottom of the heap by no means. Even with Porter being touted as the least of the group, still is no slouch.
