LEXINGTON – Kentucky’s Jenny Pfeiffer calmly sank two free throws with 14 seconds left and the Wildcats came up with a defensive stop in the waning seconds to upset No. 1/3 Tennessee on Thursday night in front of a school-record 13,689 fans at Rupp Arena.
The was the first for UK Hoops over a No. 1 team in their history, ending an 0-15 skid that included seven losses to a top-ranked Lady Vol team. It also snapped a 24-game losing streak to UT that dated back to 1986.

This game will be one to remember Cat fans. The girls didn't give in when UT made their 10 to 1 run and gutted out a win. Hats off to our babes in blue.

Congrats to the players, the coaches and the fans!! It was an absolute ELECTRIC atmosphere!! I wouldnt have missed it for the world! I lost my pants down to my thighs when i jumped up at the end!! I think I saved them befoe anyone else saw it!

She didnt see it but she heard me talking about it. She thought it was funny. She actually told the coaching staff after the game during their autograph session! Ahhhhh who cares we all sacrifice what we have to, to beat that orange team in whatever!!!

That was awesome! That's the first time that I have been glued so intently to a women's game, I must admit.
They played a great game, and finally broke the curse.

Barring a major meltdown this game went a LONG way toward getting them a bid! Nothing is for sure but with 15 wins, a win over Tennessee it looks cool for now! I will say 20 plus wins and a .500 record in the tough SEC gets us a bid for sure!
