I was in attendance last night at Rupp Arena and it was lower arena packed and loud for the game. We dug too big a hole in the first half and even though we fought our way back seemed tired after that. It was a combination in the first half of poor shooting and Sarah Elliott picking up 2 borderline fouls and having to set.
UofL didnt have anyone who could match up with Elliott inside and when they went to zone, Jenny Peiffer got really hot in the second half! It was a really good atmosphere I thought. The difference in the end was a combination of two things UofL's guards were somewhat more athletic then ours and able to get to the goal and Samantha our leading scorer, sorry can't think of her last name right now. She shot horribly all night and couldn't buy a basket!

I hate to say it, but I'm waiting to see a televised game where the ladies play good ball. The only games that I have watched are LSU and Louisville games and they didn't play very well in either game. I thought that their shot selection was rather poor last night-too much one on one and not enough passing. There's still plenty of time for them. I know that DeMoss is a good coach. She learned from the best.

You make several good points, in all honesty I think that Rupp got them a little too excited and there were some poor decisions made!

I thought when they made the comebac that they were on their way but Lousville quickly regained the lead and pushed it to 6 quickly. I think that took the wind out of their sails. Also, you got to hit shots to win.
