Missouri coach Mike Anderson is heading to Arkansas after all. The longtime Razorbacks assistant, according to sources, has decided to return to Fayetteville. Anderson flirted with Oregon a year ago before deciding to remain at Missouri. Anderson spent 17 years as Nolan Richardson’s assistant at Arkansas, but wasn’t considered for the job after Richardson was fired in 2002. msn.foxsports.com/collegebasketball/story/Arkansas-Razorbacks-basketball-hires-Mike-Anderson-032311If the way Anderson coached Missouri is any indication, Arkansas appears to have gotten them a good coach. I hated to see Pelphrey lose his job there but it may be a good thing for him too. I wouldn't mind seeing him as an assistant at UK but don't think it will happen. Ive always felt recruiting good talent is probably 60 to 70% of having a good team and unless you're a miserable coach, you'll do well. I'm surprised Tubby isn't being considered for some of the vacancies or maybe he is?

I hate it that Pel failed, but I believe the Hogs will be a much more formidable opponent with Anderson at the helm. I believe he'll have them competitive again as soon as next season.
