BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- For Arkansas junior guard Ronnie Brewer, the courtship started a long time ago when he first started getting e-mails from agents, asking for his cell phone number.
"I don't give my cell phone number out," said the 6-foot-7 Brewer, who likely will be announced today as the SEC's preseason player of the year.
"They try, but I'm not going to give it to them. ... I tell them I don't want to be bothered. They can send information out but I'm not going to look at it right now."
Brewer's father, Ron, played in the NBA, so he has a little bit better advice than some basketball players who threw away their college careers last spring.
Nowhere was the NBA Draft a bigger disaster last year than in the SEC

There's no doubt every year hopefully is a learning experience for the players and coaches. Some learn, some don't.

Yes and disaster is the correct term for what it was for underclassmen who left the SEC last year!

Yes and disaster is the correct term for what it was for underclassmen who left the SEC last year! It definitely woke some people up didn't it?
