If coach Cal stays, and we don't get into any trouble with the NCAA, I can see UK being another dynasty like UCLA was in the '60's and '70's.

We just got a verbal from two of the top 7 and are in good with the other 5. If Wiggins reclassifies, he would make another one. Let's hope their verbal draws in some more. Did you read where they said they were going to stay for four years? If that were to happen, Katy bar the door.  I hope Calipari is loving this as much as UK fans do. |

I was discussing this same thing with my brother last night. We had both wanted Cal when Tubby left. I wish it had worked out that way. Oh, well. Better late than never! |

Welcome to BBH Pariah, hope you come around often. Funny thing about Calipari, I always thought he was a good coach and recruiter but never thought he'd wind up at Kentucky. I'm hoping everything stays cool while he's with us because I'm fairly sure that the NCAA is going to have their nose stuck in everything he does. Again, welcome.

^ Yes, I know what you mean. I think the NCAA would like nothing better than to pin something on Cal and UK. The NCAA has made no bones about how they feel about both. But, any coach could get you in trouble. Just goes with the territory. When looking at potential coaches, I just didn't see anyone who fit this job like Cal. Turned out even better than I thought. And, with all of the digging by various "journalists" over the last three years, I really think if something was going to surface, it would have by now. Tubby left the program in a mess, Billy Clyde made it worse, and there were only a couple of guys who could turn it around. Cal did it almost instantly. It is really almost beyond belief. As long as UK fields a basketball team, the NCAA is going to be nosing around. We may as well win while they do it. And nobody is winning like Cal.
