In one of my side yards, this one mole was raising cane. it probably had a 30 foot strip established just since the last mow which was five days before. I had already set my trap for another mole which was unsucessful and was headed to this one to see if I could trap it. I had marked it's trail to see which way it was heading and when i went to check, it had moved at least 8 feet from the night before. I started to set the trap when I saw some grass move. I quickly stomped it and went for the pitchfork. So far, I have trapped 2 moles and stomped three. Stomping in my book is more luck than skill and takes a bit more patience.
