I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention to the weather.com site because it totally caught me off guard. Not much snow but decent drifts. I went out today (Sunday) and shoveled snow, scraped windshields, deiced the doors and carried some fairly heavy boxes from the garage, which is about 80 foot from the back door. The wind chill was pretty stiff which locked me up rather quickly. Guess what else happened, I pulled my groin muscle again which really torked me. It's a good thing it's not mowing season, now I can only hope it doesn't snow for a while. I'm beginning to think my glory days have come to an abrupt halt. In the last five years, I've seen a sharp decline in just about every human anatomy category I can think of. This getting older is starting to get a little more than just aggravating.

I know what you mean about the age thing, Bubba. It's a struggle to keep moving forward. One of my best friends, and the guy who got me starting playing golf, is having a lot of health issues. The most serious of which is his back. He's saying his golfing future is looking iffy right now. He's 3 1/2 years younger than me, so I feel very blessed to be in as good of a shape as I am (knock on wood).

You are a very lucky man Sandman and so am I even though I don't think so sometimes. I am going to make a big effort to meet with you and Bluemist this coming summer (I hope you're still willing). I'm not the easiest guy to get along with but I'm not a total butt either and hope our getting together makes all of us just a tad bit happier. I'll try not to interfere with your golfing.  |

As far as the weather goes, the wind was really howling today. My wife goes over to he nephew's house and watches her two girls and I was worried because she had to take youngest to the chiropractor and she drives an HHR. There was plenty of ice and snow on the road and I was afraid the wind would blow her into a ditch or worse. Luckily, it died down a bit when she got around to going. I remember one time pulling up to a stop sign in town and my car just completely slid over to the curb, it was a strange feeling to say the least.
