I hate to say it but I've been over on the IU board talking smack about the UNC game tonight. I don't normally do that but for some reason felt like it.

I hate to say it but I've been over on the IU board talking smack about the UNC game tonight. I don't normally do that but for some reason felt like it. In hindsight, probably wasn't a good idea. I'll have to admit, though, I would have felt comfortable doing the same thing myself. I couldn't believe it when I saw it on the 'Net this morning. I know one game was away and the other at home, but how does a team lose to Fort Wayne, even at their place, and then beat UNC?

I watched the game and the main reason for the IU win was the start of the game. IU came out really pumped and ready to play and UNC wasn't. IU built up a big lead pretty quickly and UNC looked rattled. UNC made a game of it in the second half and even pulled to within 4 but IU dug in and fought them off for the win. The 2011 UK game was mentioned at least 3 times and even mentioned in the ESPN write-up on the game. Jay Williams said he still thinks UNC is the #1 team in the country regardless of losing to IU. I noticed no one rushed the floor, I'm sure they don't want to run everyone off.
