The neighbor's elm tree looks like it's budding. If it isn't, it will when the temperature hits 70 next week. I'm not complaining but just when I think winter is going to get serious, it throws a warming spell on us. It appears that we are going to slide out of February with temps in the high 40's. I like it.

A friend of mine said, yesterday, that flowers will start blooming and trees budding out and then they'll probably get killed by cold weather. As he said, there's still plenty of time for killing temps.

Trees are definitely budding. People are wearing shorts. I don't quite believe winter is through with us yet. I don't hear any frogs bellowing, maybe they know something we don't?
