BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Wouldn't it be great to see what Darrell Mitchell looks like in an old "Pistol" Pete Maravich uniform?
LSU fans and Southeastern Conference fans will get to experience situations such as that when the SEC has its "Throwback Week" from Feb. 18-26.
"Each SEC school will wear throwback or replica uniforms for each game during that span," SEC commissioner Mike Slive said Wednesday during the SEC Basketball Media Days. "We will televise 14-18 games during that week."
LSU only gets one home game during "Throwback Week," but it's a biggie. The Kentucky Wildcats come to town Feb. 25 for a 2:45 p.m. game to be nationally televised on CBS.
